Edgewood Development, a Walpole development company, showed selectmen schematics last week for the apartment complex to be built where the Fales Machinery foundry building currently resides. Selectmen signed an agreement last Tuesday allowing the developers to continue the permitting process for "Liberty Station" at 1034 East St. There is currently no price tag on the project.
The apartment complex is designed to be four stories and contain 152 market-rate units. One-third of the units will have one bedroom, and the rest will have two bedrooms. Developers would construct additional parking to compensate for a new influx of residents. The complex will offer no affordable housing units.
